The Demon wall shelf and shelf by Gubi emerged in the interior design project of a house in 1954. Mathieu Mategot looked for a practical and modular solution to create a library in that house, which in the long run would remain functional, with a timeless aesthetic and that could be adapted to each space or needs of various users.
Demon Shelf is available in various shelf widths and offers the possibility of 1 individual shelf or a set of shelves.
The Demon shelf from Gubi is a storage or bookcase furniture designed by Mathieu Mategot in 1954.
The decade of the 50s is the time when the most iconic and classic designs in the history of design were created, due to their good aesthetics and practicality. Functionalism is essential in good creation, and the Demon shelves prove that this design is still as current as it was when it was designed.
Demon was designed for the execution of a library in an interior design project of a home. This modular system was created to be able to apply it to each type of space or home, allowing it to be adjusted to the different needs and measurements of each client or user.
The Demon shelf offers a unique aesthetic for this wall model, it consists of 2 or 3 vertical arms that hold the different shelves, available in various sizes and widths.
We propose the model of 2 vertical profiles in its widths 95 and 155 cm, with its three available shelf finishes, black stained ash, natural oak or natural walnut with semi-matt varnishing treatment in all cases.
