The Kaufmann table by Finn Juhl is handmade, combining oak wood structure with very delicate shapes with a walnut wood veneered top that provides the combination of materials that characterizes the designer.
Includes brass details and walnut wood leg tips.
Architect Finn Juhl created this table for his private residence, a design so careful that it plays into a special league, created with a very refined profile that creates the optical illusion that the table is floating above the frame. A table that perfectly combines aesthetics with functionality.
The Kaufmann table is handmade with oak wood and walnut veneered top with solid edges. The use of various materials is the hallmark of the author, therefore it reflects the combination of dark table wood in walnut with a lighter structure in oak wood. The brass crossbar visually gives the table an exclusive and refined appearance, and at the same time protects the wood against dirt in case you feel like resting your feet on it.
Finn Juhl never gave a name to this piece, so the firm opted to give it the name of Kaufmann, who was a friend of the designer and was in charge of discovering Finn Juhl and launched it internationally, since he was director of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
The Kaufmann table for its delicacy, manufacture, design and quality can be considered a work of art.
