The design of the Biagio table lamp and sculpture is by architect Tobia Scarpa for the Italian manufacturer Flos.
It is made of a single block of marble. It emits direct light and at the same time a fantastic ambient light when it is illuminated all over it.
This 1968 design is a work of art, a sculpture, which represents at the same time the perfect link between technology and design taken to the level of art.
It is made of Carrara marble, one of the most exquisite marbles due to its refined whiteness, with almost imperceptible veins.
The Biagio lamp offers us a strong visual impact, but also an incredible lighting effect: the light from the bulb penetrates through the marble and manages to create a very unique, warm and sophisticated ambient lighting. Despite its robust appearance, the Biagio weighs only 7.5 kg, so it can be easily transported.
