The Model 2065 lamp designed by Gino Sarfatti, is made of two opal methacrylate diffusers joined suspended from the ceiling, with the option of a black-painted aluminum canopy, drawing attention to its shapes, the simplicity of the design and the lightness of the materials make it an elegant and floating luminaire.
The Model 2065 pendant lamp was designed in a totally experimental and innovative way by Gino Sarfatti. At that time, everything was made of glass, but when Sarfatti received the first samples of methacrylate, he observed that it was stronger and lighter than glass.
The Model 2065 lamp consists of a diffuser made with two opalescent saucers joined, suspended from the ceiling and with the option of this same model with an aluminum cover painted in black with a soft-touch finish, leaving the lower diffuser as the only light source, creating a more intimate light space. In a continuation of the original idea, five LED bulbs provide the illumination in both versions.
The simplicity of the elliptical design and the lightness of the materials make a seemingly weightless luminaire.
