House of Finn Juhl presents the 53 sofa, which receives its name from being an original design from 1953.
During the 50s, Finn Juhl created and designed a series of furniture for the master carpenter Niels Vodder. This series is characterized by a refined and elegant style with the minimum of components. It is easily recognizable by its slim legs in solid wood and by the practical and functional elements of the seating area.
Finn Juhl presented the 53rd Sofa at the Copenhagen Guild Cabinetmakers Exhibition, a year after its creation. And to this day it remains a timeless design, intended to satisfy the user's needs for rest and allowing various expressions with their combinations.
