The Pedrera coffee table comes with a steel base and an organically shaped glass top.
The inspiration for the base of this table came from the vaulted ceilings of Antonio Gaudí's famous 'La Pedrera' house.
The Pedrera coffee table by Gubi was created in the mid-fifties. Innovative in its expression and choice of materials at the time, it is now considered a classic. The sophisticated design has not lost its classic charm over the decades and adds a pleasant atmosphere to modern furniture and classic sets.
The design of the Pedrera coffee table was created by the Spanish architect and designer Barba Corsini. In 1953, the company that was managing Antonio Gaudí's famous residential building "La Pedrera" asked him to design apartments for the penthouse floor.
In addition to the 13 individual apartments that Corsini designed for the Pedrera building, he also created the appropriate lamps and pieces of furniture. Part of this project is the Pedrera side table and the Pedrera lamps that are manufactured by Gubi.
Thanks to the Pedrera project, Barba Corsini achieved international recognition and his furniture became design classics.
The Pedrera side table is made by Gubi with a matte black lacquered steel or brass base and has an organically shaped glass top.
