Table designed by Jean Prouvé for Vitra.
This table consists of a robust solid oak or American walnut top on three legs of the same wood. These elements are connected to each other by a robust frame made of curved sheet steel. Guéridon Bas is also available in dark smoked oak, in a version reminiscent of the "Table Africaine", originally made of tropical wood. This discreet table fits perfectly in a wide variety of interiors.

Guéridon Bas.
Jean Prouvé (1901-1984), architect, engineer and designer, strove to use highly developed technologies for metal processing, achieve innovative constructions and forms in his design and architectural work. He was instrumental in the development of construction techniques using lightweight prefabricated parts in architecture, drawing upon, among other things, ideas from aviation and the automotive industry. In his Ateliers Jean Prouvé, a company he founded in 1947, he began to produce not only lightweight components but also his own designs.
