The Womb armchair by Knoll is a design by Eero Saarinen from 1946.
At Florence Knoll 's request to create a chair full of pillows where you can snuggle up, Saarinen developed the legendary Womb Chair. A design that satisfactorily meets any need for relationship and comfort in a space. We propose the Womb relax version with a black painted leg and upholstered in a selection of Tonus textiles (Cat.C). For other models or finishes, please contact us.
The Womb Chair is a classic of Knoll design that offers moments of comfort and an oasis of calm with its enveloping structure. Its design was commissioned to meet Florence Knoll 's need to find an element that was like a basket full of pillows, where she could curl up. Womb chair is an armchair design with a one-piece seat and backrest structure that facilitates ergonomics and comfort for the user. The collection has a series of seats with infinite possibilities of posture and space that combine chrome or black base with excellent textile or leather upholstery.
