The shell of the Eames Plastic chair can be used as both an office chair and a dining chair. Designed in the 1950s as part of a series of chairs that revolutionized the world of design, Hella Jongerius, artistic director of Vitra, has expanded the color range of Eames chairs with 6 new, very current colors. In addition to the classic palette, Plastic Eames chairs are now available in ice gray, navy blue, moss gray, rust red, classic red, and classic green.

The Eames Plastic Side Chair is the modern production of the legendary Fiberglass Chair. It was designed in collaboration with Zenith Plastics for the Low-Cost Furniture Design competition of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and was the first industrially manufactured chair made of plastic.

To adjust the height, you have to push the activation knob in the direction of the chair leg. You can tell if the chair is adjusted correctly, when in a sitting position your legs create a 90° angle and your feet are flat on the floor.

The diverse selection of bases for Charles and Ray Eames Plastic Chairs makes it easy to find the right model for a wide range of environments and situations. For example, the PACC (Pivot Side Chair Cast Base on Castors) is ideal for home offices. Thanks to the organic shape of the seat shell mounted on a swivel base, with shock absorber suspension and infinitely adjustable height, the supreme comfort offered by the chair is guaranteed. In order not to deviate from its natural, expressive and organic design, Vitra decided on a height adjustment, which is discreetly mounted under the seat shell.
