An original design from 1955 by Barba Corsini for a project in the renowned and iconic building of Antonio Gaudi in the city of Barcelona (Spain). The designer of this lamp was part of the interior decoration and remodeling of the penthouses of the La Pedrera building, from this characteristic architecture was inspired the design of the Pedrera collection, which is composed of several lamps and a coffee table, which were placed in the building, although later in 1991 the restoration of the building with the original conception of Gaudí was chosen.
In the design of the PD2 Floor Lamp , a base stands out that is inspired by the vaulted ceilings of the architectural complex, which is why it receives that original and characteristic shape that adds personality together with the perforated cylindrical lampshade, this last part has its source of inspiration in the chimneys of Gaudí's building.
