The Flamingo lamp published by BD Barcelonais designed by the Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza, recognized throughout the world and who also designed lighting pieces and other objects. BD began its journey in the contemporary design edition in 1972 with this product, the Flamingo lamp and in 1985 the current halogen version was introduced.
The extraordinary nature of the Flamingo lamp cannot be seen in photographs, even in detailed design plans. What distinguishes it from any other lamp is its use. Its unusual height, the quality of its light, the neutrality and apparent fragility of its variable and removable structure, the mobility of its very delicate wings allow unsuspected uses.
The Flamingo lamp from BD Barcelonacan replace a candle at dinner, illuminate a picture or a bookcase or allow reading in bed without disturbing the potential bed partner.
Materials: Removable chrome iron bar structure. Adjustable thin aluminum wings.
Finishes: Painted in matte silver-gray to control the light. Dimmer included.
