In his relentless search to find a plastic manufacturer that would make a one-piece chair, Verner Panton stumbled upon Vitra and together they developed the now iconic Panton chair Classic in 1967. Its design highlights the sculptural one-piece body and the vibrant colors that dress it. Verner Panton was one of the most recognized figures during the 60s and 70s for his fascination with the shapes, colors and treatment of plastic, a novel material at the time. With this set of mixtures, he created, together with Vitra the Panton Classic chair, a versatile and comfortable piece of furniture, with a particularly striking aesthetic in satin color.
