Bernardo is a panda bear sculpture designed by artist Elena Salmistraro for the manufacturer Bosa Ceramiche.
The Bernardo sculpture was born from Bosa's commitment to WWF to raise awareness about the protection of endangered animals like Bernardo.
The Bernardo ceramic sculpture is part of Bosa 's contribution to caring for the planet and the animals that inhabit it. In fact, it is a panda bear, the world symbol of endangered species and of the WWF Foundation with which it collaborates.
On this occasion, Bernardo stands bravely on his legs to fight for the other animals. In its design there is a play of 3D symbolic elements that are not at all casual: his body is covered by firm armor, his face is painted as a member of a tribe and on his head blooms a bamboo crown, his favorite food. In short, Bernardo the bear is a symbol of power and overcoming.
