





Sciangai 50 celebrates its 50th anniversary with a finish in bright and cheerful colors, a design by De Pas, D'Urbino, Lomazzi from 1973, for the Italian brand Zanotta. Sciangai 50 is a faithful replica of the sketch found in the designers' studio, a pencil drawing in striking colors and each rod in a different color. The iconic Sciangai coat rack is easily foldable.
Zanotta celebrates this important anniversary with Paolo Lomazzi creating a special edition, which is sure to become a real object of desire.
Sciangai was the winner of the Compasso d'Oro award in 1979.

This new edition of the magnificent Sciangai 50 coat rack is a faithful replica of the original sketch found in the studio of De Pas, D'Urbino and Lomazzi by Fabio Calvi and Paolo Brambilla, a brightly colored pencil drawing where each rod has a different shade. An empathetic and communicative object that personalises its surroundings with a playful touch of authentic non-conformism when its eight coloured bars are opened.

The Sciangai 50 coat rack is inspired by Mikado's set of pick-up sticks. In the Sciangai, each element forms a point of contact with the ground and, at the same time, provides a place to hang a coat or a hat on top, the tips have a specific shape to hold each garment, cap... The eight solid beech wood poles are connected to each other by a joint a little above the center and, when open, create an adjustable circumference to fit the surrounding available space, creating a coat rack of different dimensions.
