Kartell, an Italian home furnishings and accessories firm, has once again collaborated with renowned designer Philippe Stark, one of the leading figures in today's design sector.
As a result of this collaboration, the Smart Wood collection emerges, a line of seats that is made up of armchairs and chairs that seek a new form of production and manufacture. After long-lasting research, Kartell has decided to create a product through three-dimensionality. A special patent is applied and the wood is machined in a mould until the necessary curvature of the sheet is reached and thus shapes the shell of this armchair.
The Q/Wood chair has an elegant and sophisticated shape, but at the same time shows great lightness thanks to its delicate base.
