There is no doubt that Gio Ponti was a great visionary, being the great promoter of the industrialization of design in Italy, but without ever losing sight of the artisanal roots of the product, preparing the ground for the emergence of firms such as Flos, Artemide or Driade. Gio Ponti did not stop at theory, because in 1932 he created the lighting firm FontanaArte together with Pietro Chiesa.

Promoter of the Compasso D'Oro Awards, director of La Triennale di Milano,... In architecture, it is worth mentioning: in Venezuela the Planchart Villa, the Pirelli Tower in Milan and the Denver Art Museum.
