The first wooden Eames Elephant was made in 1945 by the Eames duo, although it was not brought into production until 2018. The premise was to create a wood veneer toy that would cheer up and create sympathy in homes. Its design has become popular throughout its recent 75-year history, and those that Vitra wanted to commemorate with the launch of the Eames Elephant plywood grey, a limited edition made of gray-stained wood veneer, labeled with a unique and special numbering.
Materials: Molded oak wood veneer and stained gray.
